Well done to current DMT World Age Champion CAITLIN O'BRIEN, who competed at the recent European Trampoline, DMT & Tumbling Championships, which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 9th -15th April.
Caitlin completed 2 brilliant passes in the Individual DMT Senior Women's category, taking 3rd= place (5th after count-back rule) behind GB Squad teammates, Ruth Shevelan & Kirsty Way. The rule of only 2 per country to qualify for Finals, meant that Caitlin just missed out on a place ahead of her 2 teammates, despite performing a personal best in the qualifying round. However, the GB Senior Women's DMT Team qualified for the Senior Team Final in 1st place, taking silver & 2nd place after Russia in the Final- a very close finish -with just .500 between them!
GB's Kirsty Way had a brilliant competition- delivering consistent passes - to win the European Championship 2018 Title in the Senior Women's DMT.Well done Kirsty!
Congratulations to the GB Senior Women's DMT Team (Caitlin O'Brien,Kirsty Way, Ruth Shevelan & Phoebe Williams) on their silver medal win.Fantastic results girls!

TRAMPOLINE JUDGING COURSE - A PARENTS VIEW

"The course was very well structured and the tutor was extremely good at explaining all the rules and regulations. He made everyone feel welcome. Lots of people on the course were trampoline coaches, so they clearly knew way more than I did (I’m a complete novice) this made no difference as the tutor made sure we all understood before we moved on.

The 2 days were intense and to be honest, hard work, but it was so worthwhile. I highly recommend it. It’s given me confidence to speak to my daughter about her skills and understand her sport, which really benefits both of us." (Gillian Hallard - parent)

CETC Head Coach Lauren Jeffrey, was shortlisted for 'Coach of the Year', and attended the ceremony, together with invited members of CETC's Committee and Officials.

Although an Award from Scottish Gymnastics would be very well-deserved, and would recognise her commitment and dedication - particularly with her success in the promotion and increased participation of DMT in Scotland in recent years - Lauren was a runner-up.
