SUMMER FUNDRAISERS 2017

The newly reformed Fundraising Group organised a couple of fundraisers over the last few weeks of term.

A Treasure Hunt involved all Club members (Thanks to Myra for the great maps) and a fantastic amount of money was raised by everyone who took part.
Kaitlyn Wallace was the winner of the prize for collecting the most sponsor money - well done Kaitlyn - what a great effort!

Running over a whole week in June, was the Holiday Fancy Dress, where every member attending classes paid £1 to dress up in their favourite holidays outfit to come to training.

There were some very interesting outfits from gymnasts and coaches! Well done to everyone for joining in and making it a fun week - while raising funds for the Club!

CHANGES TO UKCC SUBSIDY FUNDING

  • 21 April 2017
  • cetc_admin

There have been changes made to UKCC subsidy funding for 2017-18 in direct response to a decrease in National Lottery investment.

SportScotland are committed to supporting coaches at all levels and therefore have spread the reduction across all levels of the coaching pathway.

Scottish Gymnastics understand that this will likely have a significant impact on our coaches and we are committed to working closely with you to ensure we implement these changes in the smoothest way possible.

THE CHANGES ARE AS FOLLOWS AS OF 1 JUNE 2017

  • UKCC L1 grant aid to be 40% of total cost or £75 (whichever is the lowest). Therefore, coaches will receive £75 subsidy (a reduction of £25 (previously £100))
  • UKCC L2 grant aid to be 60% of total cost or £350 (whichever is the lowest). Therefore, coaches will receive £312 subsidy (a reduction of £52 (previously £364))

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Any UKCC applications which have already been received by sportscotland (prior to the four week deadline and with the course held before 1 June 2017) will be processed with the existing level of subsidy.

Applications which are already in the system and are for courses after 1 June 2017 will be processed  on the new level of subsidy.
